Dr. Ashley Bagwell was born and raised in Houston, Texas. She attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated with a Bachelor of Business degree in Finance in 2004. During three of her years at UT, she was a member of the UT Cheerleading squad.
Dr. Bagwell graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Houston – College of Optometry in 2009. During her time in school, she was a teaching assistant and was a member of the Student Volunteers for Optometric Service to Humanity. With the Baylor College of Medicine, she traveled to Santa Ana, Honduras where she provided eye exams and glasses for the indigent population. She completed her internships in Houston at Hopping Eye Associates and the Good Neighbor Clinic. Upon graduation, Dr. Bagwell joined her mother’s private practice West Houston Eye.
Dr. Bagwell is licensed as a Therapeutic Optometrist and is an Optometric Glaucoma Specialist. She is also currently a member of the American Optometric Association, Texas Optometric Association, and the Harris County Optometric Association.
In her spare time, Dr. Bagwell enjoys spending time with her son Pierson, biking, traveling, reading, and cooking.
